Since I made a 3.5" hard drive clock, and got a prototype of a 2.5" hard drive clock working, why not try a 1" drive?
Well thats a pretty good reason. Too darn small! The small (well it looked small before) driver board is larger than the entire drive. And I'm not even sure it could spin up with a big magnet glued to the disk.
But I bet it would be quiet!
Here is a closeup of the drive. I still can't believe these things got built.
